Palin moment 

Much the same as a blonde moment or brain fart,any momentary slip of the mind;misspelling or mispronouncing words,blanking out when asked a question,forgetting the directions to the local gas station where you've been buying gas for 20 years,calling a co-worker Bob when their name is George,and so on.A Palin moment is the new blonde moment,though you don't have to be blonde(or a Republican)to have a Palin moment.

When you have a pen but no paper and MUST write something down. Your palm becomes your notepad. Particularly pleasing when done by a Democrat.
