PLBB or, Plain language big book of Alcoholics Anonymous, the worldwide fellowship of longtime sobriety seekers. The program, also known as AA, has helped more people recover from alcoholism than any other known program of recovery. The program is free to all. Thank God for alcoholics Anonymous.

In 2024, Alcoholics anonymous worldwide services published its 5th edition, the plain language big book, also known as the PLBB. It's members, as well as the public can now pick up a fifth without getting drunk.

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.

Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.
