Oh, the humanity

1.) A cynical phrase used to trivialize a pitiful speech that can come off as too sentimental. Also used to condemn minor problems that are exaggerated by the speaker. Originated from Herbert Morrison's emotional radio broadcast of the Hindenburg crash.
"Oh, the humanity and all the passengers screaming around here. I told you, I can't even talk to people whose friends are on there {...} I-I can't talk, ladies and gentlemen." - Herbert Morrison, 1937 Hindenburg crash report

1.) A. "Sorry I couldn't come to school this past week...my dog died...*cries*"
"Your dog died? Who was 23 years old? Oh, the humanity!"

B. "My mom took away my phone for a week because I was texting in class. I am, like, so mad at her I swear I'm going to run away!"
"Oh, the humanity! Running away from home is the only justification for being punished because you disobeyed your school's code of conduct!"

Oh the humanity

A phrase equivalent to "Oh my God!!!", but with more emotion.

Assosciated with the Hindenburg disaster, Herb Morrison, a reporter for WLS Radio in Chicago, who was covering the event live, cried out the now famous words, "Oh, the Humanity!" as he watched the airship burst into flames.
"It's burst into flames!
Get out of the way! please! Oh my, this is terrible... Oh, the humanity! ... and all the passengers!"

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.
Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.

Foot prisons

Socks. Annoying, sweat-causing, non-barefoot enducing, everyday socks.
The first thing I do when I take off my shoes, is rip off the foot prisons I had to wear inside them. That's why I prefer flip flops, even in winter!

"I am Cornholio! You do not want to face the wrath of my bunghole, for I need TP!"
Butthead: Shut up, Beavis! (uh huh huh huh)
Beavis: Um, okay. (heh heh heh heh).
