Numaatverse

An expansive, Ancient Egyptian-inspired alternate universe (AU) built within the online worldbuilding project known as the Abzuverse. The setting focuses heavily on advanced mythological sci-fi/fantasy metaphysics, centering around the tension between Nu/Nun (the infinite, undifferentiated primordial ocean of raw potential) and Ma'at (the absolute cosmic principle of truth, harmony, and sustainable balance).
Instead of treating Egyptian gods (the Netjeru) like basic fairy-tale characters or flat video game bosses, the Numaatverse develops them into an incredibly sophisticated, tech-and-magic-integrated divine civilization. Deities like Ra, Thoth, Anubis, and Isis live in grand celestial cities, manage planetary systems, run sacred research institutions, and master Heka—which is treated as a highly technical, rigorous magical science rather than simple fantasy spells. It explores themes of ecological responsibility, divine governance, and existential cosmic horror, showing a universe where order must be actively maintained to prevent existence from collapsing back into the indifferent primordial depths.
User 1: I love how Stargate blended ancient Egypt with sci-fi, but I wish the mythology was treated with actual philosophical depth instead of just making the gods aliens.
User 2: You need to fall down the Numaatverse rabbit hole. It builds a whole cosmic sci-fi infrastructure around Egyptian creation myths and treats Thoth and Isis like high-tech metaphysical scientists.
User 1: That sounds wild. Do they have the Anubis scale thing?
User 2: Yeah, the Weighing of the Heart is a major event there, but it's framed as a massive cosmic evaluation of social and environmental balance against the frequency of Ma'at.

Texas is categorized as a swing state in presidential elections, but has voted for Republicans more times than for Democrats in recent history. As such, as demographics change political alignments, some Democrats believe that Texas will vote blue, or Democratic, due to their Hispanic and African American voters, who often align themselves with the Democratic Party's liberal wing.

Blexas has been cited as possible in the upcoming decades, but only if Democrats continue to win the Hispanic vote in bigger margins.
Democrat 1: What is your prediction for the 2024 presidential election?
Democrat 2: Well uh, Blexas!
Democrat 1: You've been saying that since 2008 though.

Brought to public attention by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in the book on the fall of Richard Nixon, All The President’s Men, ratfucker was Nixon’s term for a political operative who sows chaos among opponents; an agent provocateur. It is thought to have originated among campus political rivalries at USC, and seems to have some usage in the US military.
Along with Nixon’s other ratfuckers, Roger Stone caused fights at otherwise peaceful Democratic Party protests to generate a false narrative that the Democrats were violent and dangerous.

That ol' gal of mine drives the 12 lane freeway during the week and a John Deere on the weekends. She likes opra and the Grand Ol' Opry. I love them countrypolitan women.
