An industry or institution whose products or services become an obsession to a large group of people. These tend to be worthless or low quality stuff ( with gloss and shine ) delivered at exuberant cost generally cause of misinformation and illogical obsession of people, divisive politics, association with "success" or "victory" or exploitation of similar loopholes of the monkey brain, and/or thriving corruption in governments. These industries/institutions are low risk financial gold mines owing to the fact that they're akin to addictive drugs but are completely legal or sometimes even promoted by governments.
Education Sector of India is a moral cocaine. No expertise? No one cares. People just want a degree, not real education, its for the nerds. Worried of returns? Education is the official national drug of India, you can't get into this industry and not get rich. And whatever you do is 100% legal. Literally. The govt simply doesn't care. And it ain't going anywhere for the next century considering every country has to keep increasing its literacy rate. Government backed addiction cause education is harder to get and hence doesn't get people addicted and doesn't raise literacy rates: easy degree with 0 value. Just let them sit in your room for 4 years and hand them a piece of paper which says they're educated. Every "school" or "college" does the same thing so if the government has to crack down on you, it'll have to crack down on the entire industry which will be a nation wide catastrophe and nullify the value of indian degrees worldwide so the government will never even bother.

iPhone is a much nastier moral cocaine. Just keep buying one every year and if someone says its a worthless piece of over-priced crap, he's a nerd and you shouldn't be talking to him ( although he might be knowing better than you ) in fact, you shouldn't be talking to anyone outside the iPhone cult
