Idiocism

Share definition Flag
Idiocism is the unrelenting and persistent mindset that every single person around you is a complete idiot, until they prove otherwise. As an Idiocist, assume that everyone is a moron until they give you evidence to the contrary. Idiocism is a form of personal social cynicism.
My Idiocism is reinforced with each new idiot that I encounter.

I assumed that you were an idiot. After speaking with you and realizing that you were indeed retarded, my vigilant Idiocism has once again proven me right.

Idiocism prevents me from giving these idiots the benefit of the doubt. They are all morons.

Patient: "Because the bible says they're wrong! It has to be true if the bible and the church say it's wrong! Just like women can't be priests and the sun revolves around the Earth!"

To create or edit instructions to the extent that even an idiot could follow them correctly. This is particularly useful in business where there is a need for templates to be completed by underqualified, poorly trained, lazy and unintelligent people, commonly referred to as 'salespeople'.

Another area of acute demand is in the production of instruction manuals for DIY furniture assembly and all electronic equipment.
After 6 hours of effort filled with sweat, blasphemy and spare parts and screws, John swore on his mother's grave that he would never go back to Ikea again until they idiocise the instructions.
