Hoffing
present participle of hof
hof
verb
To be doing the Wim Hof Method breathing technique / Tummo Breathing.
Never to be done while driving, operating machinery, in
water, standing up, or anywhere it's not safe to faint or
trip. Only when safely sitting comfortably or laying down, and relaxed. It does not work unless you're relaxed. Then it's simply 30 breaths of breathing in fully, and letting
go the exhale to neutral, no gaps between inhalation/exhalation, keeping breath moving, no pausing. After 30(+) breaths of "Fully in, Letting
go", just stop at end of the last exhale to neutral. Just be. No breathing. Relaxed. For as however
long as is comfortable. When you feel the need to breath (no straining to over-extend the hold), breath in fully, belly, chest, head. Hold, 10-15 seconds, squeezing from base of spine to head, and then let it
go. That is one round of Hoffing. And again, safety first. Never while hof while driving or in
water. You be Hoffing for many rounds, across many months, even years, only ever getting to the calm shallows with it, and mistaking that as safe and familiar, but then one
time you may
hit the deeper levels, pass out,
go floppy,
go for a little
15 second psychedelilc
trip, have uncontrollable muscle spasms for a few seconds. So never do it anywhere that could cause injury, accidents, drownings, death, etc. Hof responsibly.
"The
people were hoffing before going into the cold."
"She came out of the
water, and hoffed back into equalibrium, before going back in."
"He had to hof out of a high inflammatory autoimmune condition to escape."
"Hof it up dude, yeah! Don't fight it. Go with it. Let it take you."
"He's Hoffing?! Isn't that the thing from that freaky cult that does Tummo Breathing and Ice Baths? Didn't some
people die doing that?"
