Great Leap Backward

The Great Leap Backward was an economic and social campaign within the United States starting in 2025, led by the Republican Party. President Donald Trump launched the campaign to transform the country from at the time the most advanced economy into an industrialized sociely. Millions of people lost their livelihood during the Great Leap. It led to the Second Great Depression, one of the largest economic crises.
The Great Leap Backward stemmed from multiple factors, including the purge of intellectuals, the surge of less-educated radicals, the need to find new ways to generate domestic capital, excessive tariffing resulting in alienation from the world stage, and weak, spineless Democratic Party politicians kowtowing to the right in the name of “finding middle ground”
John: Gee willikers, The Great Leap Backward got me laid off and with ever increasing prices, I can’t afford anything!

Joe: That’s tough, John. Say, why don’t you join us in PEACEFULLY PROTESTING AT THE NATION’S CAPITAL ON JULY 4, 2025 AT NOON to make your concerns known?

John: What a fantastic idea! They can’t send us ALL to Salvadorian labor camps.

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.
Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.

Foot prisons

Socks. Annoying, sweat-causing, non-barefoot enducing, everyday socks.
The first thing I do when I take off my shoes, is rip off the foot prisons I had to wear inside them. That's why I prefer flip flops, even in winter!
