Golfclap, is the clapping you hear in golfing tournaments. Generally people clap because of courtesy, and tradition, so it lacks any real feeling of excitement.

Golfclop 

The act of applauding a shot made by a golfer in the British Open. The applause is almost always muffled because the patrons are quite often freezing their asses off in bloody blustery conditions, and they refuse to remove their gloves/mitten/hand warmers out of fear of frostbite or gangrene.
