Get Woke Go Broke

Get Woke Go Broke is a phrase that applies to many companies, who choose good left media reputation over their actual consumers bringing in the money.
Examples:
When the creators of Battlefield 5 decided to add SJW agenda to their game, a massive amount of hate and disloyalty came back to them, including many gamers threatening not to buy the game.
When Disney started pleasing the left media for their new SW movies, they received backlash from their actual fans and viewers, who are the reason why the franchise is so successful in the first place.
I was going to buy the new BF5 game, but they unfortunately went broke because they were too woke.

Get Woke, Go Broke

Get Woke, Go Broke is a phrase coined by the internationally bestselling author John Ringo to express the opinion that when organizations "get woke" to politically correct actions, those same actions usually result in a massive loss of income.

This is usually because the Twatter instigators calling for the company to "get woke" doesn't actually spend any money with the company.
"Hey, I heard that the 2018 GAMA convention was like totally empty"
"Yeah, man. 'Get Woke, Go Broke'"

"So I heard Yeti stopped their NRA discounts."
"Yup. Apparently they didn't realize that the majority of people who bought their shit were hunters."
"Get woke, Go broke!"Z
"Amen"

"Dude, I went by Dick's last night and the place was empty. What the hell?"
"Man, didn't you hear? They stopped selling modern sporting rifles and hired a gun control lobbyist in DC. All of their actual spending customers went elsewhere."
"Get woke, go broke?"
"Oh hell yeah. So much that the board got called out in a shareholder's meeting!"

Get Woke, Go Broke

A term that points out that adding divisive political posturing to your product alienates the bulk of the costumer base, especially when the divisive political content is explicitly added to label the old consumers racist, homophobic, transphobic, or white supremacists in an attempt to virtue signal for the company.

This usually results in the creators of said product to blame racism, homophobie, transphobia, and white supremacy for the failure of the established consumers to spend money on the product after the company labeled them such.
The producers of Disney Star Wars called fans of the original franchise misogynistic, as a result many of the fans stopped buying tickets, which was then used as evidence that the fans were exactly what the producers of Disney Star Wars called them. The result was that the franchise failed to maintain it's following, get woke, go broke.
A small piece of information. Derived from the word ken, used often in the scottish language and is synonymous with knowledge.

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.
Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.

Foot prisons

Socks. Annoying, sweat-causing, non-barefoot enducing, everyday socks.
The first thing I do when I take off my shoes, is rip off the foot prisons I had to wear inside them. That's why I prefer flip flops, even in winter!
