Foetida Marriage

A Foetida marriage is a platonic female marriage, which is a variant of the term lavender marriage, whereby two female friends bond together around the age of 30 and onwards, unable to form significant romantic relationships, they bond together out of a need for companionship. Coined after the Latin term "Rosa foetida", a yellow Persian rose which is symbolic of platonic friendship.
