intentionally created by government entities with the purpose of monitoring, tracking, or collecting data on individuals or groups, often without their knowledge or consent. Fedware may be used for surveillance,
intelligence gathering, or law enforcement purposes.
Fedware can also be programs that contain hidden backdoors or vulnerabilities
intentionally inserted by government entities for the purpose of gaining unauthorized access or control over computer systems or networks.
John: "Did you hear? They just
found out that ProtonMail is actually fedware!"
