Jamaican patois. In recent years the word "family" has been used loosely to show how close a friend is: "like family" As a result "Fambily" has been created to acknowledge those who are connected/related by blood. Though some have begun to use this new word to show how close they are to their friends, Fambily's origin is to show blood relation.
