2. Letting out one's emotions esp. in front of an unsuspecting listener.

Egojack

From "ego" and "hijack".

When you legitimately enjoy being yourself and someone abruptely uses your words or behaviour to make themself look more valuable and important.

- I was at the park with the kid who asked me why the ball wasn't flying but always coming down to earth... So I gave the standard newtonian explanation about attraction, trying to keep it simple, you know... Then, there's that man coming out from nowhere telling me (and my son!) I was saying non-sens, that it's a shame, and starts ranting about Einstein, astronomy and stuff...

- Oh, yeah, I know those. There's a lot of them on the Internet.

- But what the heck? I already knew all that, and the kid didn't even listen and went away playing! It just made me feel bad...

- Sure. You've been egojacked.
