Earnscliffe Sr. Public School

The literal trash heap of middle schools in Brampton, Ontario. If Balmoral is a shining kingdom of chaos, Earnscliffe is a burned-out village where every kid dreams of escaping to Balmoral’s halls. Hallways are packed with screaming little barbarians, saggy-pants wannabes, snack beggars, and self-proclaimed rulers of nowhere. Lockers are dented from years of abuse, cafeteria tables look like battlefields after a hurricane, and every corner hides some new petty feud ready to explode. Teachers wander helplessly like lost peasants, trying to enforce rules in a kingdom that has absolutely none.
"Walking through Earnscliffe Sr. Public School is like stepping into a literal trash kingdom—barbarians screaming, saggy-pants wannabes trying to start fights, snack beggars hustling for crumbs, and every kid praying to escape to Balmoral."

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
