Duratec 

Common V-6 engine by Ford. Has 24 valves, 4 valves per cylinder, and is Dual Over-Head Cam. Most commonly found as a 3.0L, in the Ford Taurus, but can be found as a 2.5L in the Contour.

My ‘03 Ford Taurus Sport has the Duratec engine in it.

durate or "to durate" is a verb which simply means to calculate or measure the duration of an event.

I durated my computer's boot. Boottime was about 20 seconds.
