Deus Ex'd

Much like Candlejack, the mere mention of Deus Ex will cause at least one person to re-install and play through this godly game. The victims of this action have been "Deus Ex'd."
Gamer 1: Man. This game is awesome. . . like, Deus Ex awesome.

Gamer 2: Fuck you guy, now I have to play Deus Ex again.

Gamer 3: Ha ha, you've been Deus Ex'd.

Man strives for Deus Purus, or pure God: an ultimate bliss nothingness once provided with three criteria– (1)harmonic (2)satisfaction of the highest quality (3)within the largest quantity of time. Deus Purus is both created and destroyed by stimulus awareness gives us throughout our life called opportunities. Opportunities can either become problems or solutions, the latter resulting in Deus Purus. Therefore, mans purpose is to solve opportunities to achieve ultimate bliss.

Man that sins or is destructive strives for Diabolus In Habitu Simulato, or Devil in disguise. Like Deus Purus, it gives satisfaction of the highest quality etc. but this fulfilment is not harmonic and disrupts ones’ life. It is either harmful to oneself or others or lies in ignorance. Diabolus In Habitu Simulato is both a solution in the short term but a problem in the long term. It should be avoided, despite fulfilling two of the three criteria of Deus Purus.

- Lucas Angelo from his book "Awareness And The Harmonic Satisfaction Of Solutions"
Person A: "I'm going out drinking tonight again.."
Person B: "Oh god.. more diabolus in habitu simulato.."
Person A:"Yeah, well it's good for me, I am not hurting anyone and I'm not an alcoholic. Besides, studying for that useless degree is not gonna get you Deus Purus like you want, so why don't you dance with the devil abit more like me, eh?"

deus ex effect

A psychological effect, induced by name dropping certain video games, that causes anyone who played that game to have a sudden urge to play it.

Named after the 2000 PC game Deus Ex, which famously will cause at least one person in the conversation to reinstall the game whenever mentioned, especially online.
Fred: Hey man, did you ever play that Deus Ex game? It was totally awesome.
Bill: Oh yeah, I loved that game! I should install it on my new PC.
Fred: Aw man, now I wanna play it!
Bill: That's the Deus Ex effect for you, buddy.

Deus Ex Machina

Dates from ancient Greek times, where "deus ex machina" ("god from the machine") in a play referred to the act of lowering a god on stage using a cable device (therefore, a god from a machine) to decide in a dilemma and give fate a nudge, so to say.

These days, deus ex machina has the negative connotation of an utterly improbable, illogical or baseless plot twist that drastically alters the situation, as if the "deus ex machina" came down to give fate that little push.
I liked the movie, but the ending was total crap...they could've come up with a better way to beat the villain than the deus ex machina ending of that guy miraculously coming back to life.
