Demoscout

A term used to describe players who use the demoman's shield and eyelander in the online game Team Fortress 2. It has spawned from what many consider to be the cheapest advantage to date.

For every kill the demoscout achieves with the eyelander he will gain extra health and speed. As this improves his survivability, most demoscouts see this benefit grow exponentially. Eventually the demoscout will be able to keep up with the game's quickest class - the scout (hence the birth of such a title and the distain it brings along with it).

Many are confused as to which Valve employee thought this up (and what he was on). The name 'demoman' implies the use of some sort of demolitions as a primary form of combat. However with the addition of two key melee based items this, many would argue, has rendered the title pointless.
