DROWSY BITCH FACE
A facial expression that looks mildly annoyed, unimpressed, sleepy, and socially unavailable — but not genuinely angry.
The person usually has a little more life in their face and body language than classic RBF: heavy or half-lidded eyes, slightly raised or uneven brows, a lazy side-eye, faint lip curl, tiny smirk, slouched posture, head tilt, or an expression that says, “I’m awake enough to judge this, but not awake enough to participate.”
Unlike a full pissed-off expression, Drowsy Bitch Face shouldn’t look tense, aggressive, or furious. The jaw is usually relaxed. The eyes may look sleepy rather than narrowed in anger.
It often appears when someone is tired, bored, overstimulated, waking up, waiting too long, listening to nonsense, or simply existing without performing a cheerful facial expression for everybody else.
Visual characteristics may include:
• sleepy, half-open eyes
• lazy side-eye
• slightly arched eyebrow
• relaxed mouth or tiny crooked smirk
• subtle pout
• tilted head
• shoulders slightly dropped
• chin tucked or pushed forward a little
• loose, casual body posture
• enough facial animation that the person still looks alive, expressive, and aware
The key distinction is that Drowsy Bitch Face has personality. It isn't a frozen angry face. There should be a little movement or attitude in it — like the person might sigh, roll their eyes, mumble something sarcastic, or suddenly crack a smile.

Example 1:
“Shayla walked into the kitchen at 7 a.m. with one eye barely open, hair everywhere, holding her coffee against her chest and giving everybody that drowsy bitch face.”
“Is she mad?”
“Nah. She just hasn’t decided whether the rest of us deserve conversation yet.”
