Crying Wolf 

When an Individual Alerts a group to a group of a danger that actually isn't there for amusment. This usually results In the group losing trust in said individual . This is a reference to the Fable: Boy Who Cried Wolf.

Guy A: Hey did you hear we had a test in history tommorow?
Guy B: No we don't that was just GUY C crying wolf.

Based on the tale of the boy who cried wolf, a reference to someone who is never trusted or taken seriously because they are known to constantly fuck/joke around often to their own detriment.

Just ignore that asshole, he can't be trusted, he's known for crying wolf.

Crying Wolf

In political discourse, Crying Wolf is the tactic of liberally accusing one's opponents of being evil, or woke, or racist, or misogynistic, or some other negative label, as a knee-jerk reaction to being disagreed with, when the opponent really isn't, or at least there is insufficient evidence to conclude as such. This is done so as to derail the conversation and put the opponent on the defensive, as they are now compelled to defend themselves.

This is a bad thing because it makes it impossible to have good faith conversations about things. It also causes the opponent to ignore you when you point out something that is actually so, because they're used to you using that word as a blanket term for anyone you disagree with. This tactic is mostly used by leftists but is also used by rightists.

A: I really didn't like Rey in the sequel trilogy, she's so badly written. B: You just hate women! A: Oh screw off, quit crying wolf.

Wolf-crying Weathermen 

All weathermen/women who regularly insist that a snowpocalypse or other weather disaster is imminent and cause the local media to harp on it non stop for days only to be completely and unequivocally wrong.

An untrustworthy meteorologist.

Those damn wolf-crying weathermen are at it again! It'll just be another snowpoceclipse.
