A portmanteau of clue echo in crosswords. Coined by Dennis of the LA Times Crossword Corner blog.

In the same crossword grid, RNA is clued as "Cellular transmitter", and PHONE is also clued as "Cellular transmitter". This is called a clecho.

Found 'pitoresque' by tourists in Paris, they are often sleeping under Seine bridges. the female is clocharde. A dying breed, equivalent of the tramp or bum
