To completely fail commercially so much so that the company goes out of business. Not to be confused with blockbusting which is to be very successful commercially

I'm pretty sure that GameStop is either about to or is in the process of blockbustering.

When a large media company files for bankruptcy due to poor business decisions. (Like the rental movie store blockbuster)

Damn Netflix's prices are too damn high they are for sure blockbustering.
