\bēnifī\ vb : to modify the spelling or pronunciation of a word by omitting certain letters and substituting in different ones as one would with the word "benis" (B, D, G, P, T) are universally interchangeable, (S,Z) are not cross compatible as only an (S) can become a (Z) but not a (Z) to an (S), (CK, GG) sounds are mutually interchangeable
