This word is used for someone who is being either difficult, hard-headed, stubborn or just being plain annoying

in most cases when you ask said person to do something and they come up with a bullshit excuse you would say “are you beta-maxxing?

The process of intentionally adopting or amplifying beta behaviors or traits, often to appear more passive, submissive, or agreeable in social interactions. This can involve minimizing dominant or assertive characteristics in order to fit a specific social role or strategy. It refers to becoming less alpha, or less independent and self-sufficient, in social dynamics. It is also a known fact that a sima's biggest fear is being accused of betamaxxing.
