Bowgie Inn, now a pub at
West Pentire, was once a Cow
Shed for the near by farm. Buit in the 18th Century the building has cob walls which are nearly 3'
deep. The
old part of the building with the fire stays warm for hours because of this old fashioned building technique. There are pictures displayed at the pub of the building when it was still a farm in the 1950's.
There are many cottages around Cornwall with the name Bowgie, Little Bowgie and sometimes spelt Bowjy or Bowjie
