The art or practice of spending the day drinking steadily though not excessively at a number of different locations. Generally very little is accomplished beyond this but an enjoyable time is had by those involved.

Barkmanning it

The act of drinking alcohol all day in different places and/or establishments. One drinks heavily but steadily and does not become severely intoxicated. Generally this is done for 8-12 hours and nothing else is done that day. Named after pioneer C. T. Barkman.

"What did you guys get up to on Saturday?"
"Oh, we were just Barkmanning it... hit that new bar downtown for lunch, then a few others... ended up at the alley... you know."

The act of opening your coat around someone trying to light a cigarette, bowl, or joint outside when it is windy to block the breeze. To block the wind from blowing out a lighter. Opening your jacket like batman to help a fellow smoker.
