Friends who are so good together that there is no other description word to use beside awesome. They have a bond like you wouldn't believe. Generally boy-girl friendships. May be a friends with benefits type situation, but not always. This is the kind of friendship that makes significant others get suspicious.

Person one: Jon and Natalie are totally awesomefriends.

Person two: Yeah, I hear they do all sorts of weird romantic shit together, but it's not really serious.

Person one: Natalie's boyfriend must be so jel.

verb (pronounced "awe-si-mize")- to make awesome. Can be used universally, although it was first used by one of my buddies when Peyton Manning threw a touchdown pass during a 2006 game against the Washington Redskins.
