Someone who is unchained from the beliefs and dogmas they were raised with. An awakened person can see past the cultural brainwashing and programing that plays out in their particular culture. I.e. In North Korea Kim Jeong-eun is a political God, the savior of the people. In America everyone must support the troops or receive harsh criticism. These are just two examples of how the opinions of the masses are largely formed by the will of the few through our media, entertainment and educational system. Someone who is awake has broken free of this dangerous one dimensional thinking.
She is now awake; however, it took years to get there through independent research and critical thinking.

When you got fucking pissed the night before and now you're up at 6am wondering, hoping and being sorry in everyway for everything you've done and said.
Being aware of your mental disorder but still emailing your therapist random shit. Then also, acknowledging he will double his invoice this month.
Being awake ie, eyes open when everyone is a fucking asleep.
Knowing you'll never be a size 6 again.
Accepting that your personality is the only thing going for you.
