Avoidance-wars (noun): The phenomenon occurring when two or more individuals engage in a mutual attempt to evade eye contact while traversing shared spaces, resulting in a situation akin to a standoff where neither party successfully averts the gaze, leading to a temporary stalemate in their paths.
