n./adj. vulcan word meaning "beloved", from ashaya, "love"

seems to come from either a made up term in an enterprise fanfic, or a fan-made 70's language guide (with aisha as love) depending on who you ask.

Ah-sh-aye-a a gorgeous girl who loves everything! Badass and a hard worker! Loves to act and sing and dance. Has the cutest boys (or girls) to date. Anybody who lays a finger on her is considered lucky and has a dream come true! Super confident and is smarter than anyone! Has a cute perfect body with medium length hazel hair and most likey dyed and eyes that sparkle even without a light around. Big kissable lushes lips. And the perfect one to cuddle with. Very wise and is always thankful. Its like a never ending sunset has come to meet you, a princess walking down the streets of LA. Imagine your perfect girl... thats Ashaya!

First of all she is a great friend. An Ashayla can dress and she very pretty. She can be shy at times but is not afraid to tell you how she feels. She can be crazy at times once you get to know her but knows when to keep her cool. She's 100% funny. And loves to have fun on her free time. Ashayla is very bright. She works very hard. Education is definitely not a game to them. And don't get on her bad side. You mess with her, she's ten steps ahead of you.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.
