Ambitopia

A conceptual framework where utopian illusions are sustained through both self-delusion and external manipulation, universally masking an underlying, pervasive dystopia and blurring the lines between perceived happiness and harsh realities.
The ice cream shop was an ambitopian escape; always something there that wasn’t right about it but not enough to stop them from going.

Ambertopia

This imaginary world you think you live in where everyone is good to their word and won’t do you wrong. Drugs, fornication, stealing or lying don’t happen. A world where you can trust everyone you meet and leave your purse unattended and everything is still there when you return.
“You can’t believe he slept with your best friend on your birthday? Sorry this isn’t Ambertopia.”

“Lock the car doors, we’re not in Ambertopia, you know, this is L.A.”

“I can’t believe he put you on a pedestal to make you think you were the only one. Must be nice to live in Ambertopia. “

Ambisocial

(noun) A person that feels no difference between being with other people and alone.

(adjective) Being indifferent to socializing with others.

They either never feel alone (positive variant), or always feel alone (negative) regardless of whomever is present. Positive ambisocialism normally arises from having grown up in constant social contact. And likewise negative ambisocial individuals have grown up spending little to no time with others.

An ambisocial differs from an antisocial in that social scenarios do not drive negative behavior or change a person's behavior at all.
Ambisocials also differ from an asocial in that the prospect of socializing does not impact their decision of choosing to go to a social event or being alone. Ambisocials will neither avoid nor gravitate towards social events.

To an ambisocial, the vibration of their phone means nothing. Either 500 new notifications, or zero, it's all the same to them.
Alice was the kind of person that you could flip a coin and if it landed heads there she was in front of you in the middle of the crowd. She would be wearing her plastic smile and chatting it up with random folk, and leave as the clock struck midnight. Or tails and she's home watching basketball with a phone in one hand and beer in another. When the game ends at 12 am her eyes close and falls fast asleep. The ambisocial woman cared not for meeting with others--FOMO is a concept completely alien to her.
