"Ah yes," usually is used to express sarcasm or to emphasize on a specific word that are usually strange or not use properly.
Example 1:
A: My computer is freezing
B: why don't you restart it?
A: Ah yes, restart... how can I can't think of that? Oh idk, like its FROZEN dude!

Texas is categorized as a swing state in presidential elections, but has voted for Republicans more times than for Democrats in recent history.
