عِلق
كلمة علق من الكلمات المستخدمة في العامية المصرية ومن الألفاظ المنتقصة من الرجولة، أما معناها الدراج، فهو المائع المتراخي عديم المسئولية، ويقال أيضًا أن العلق هو من يعلّق آماله على أشياء وهمية ابتدعها هو بنفسه. فيوصف سلوكه بأنه “علوقية”.
وتعني المماطلة والتأجيل المستمر للأشياء الضرورية، وبالعامية فن القيام بحاجات تانية خالص غير اللي المفروض الواحد يعملها، مع قدر لا بأس به من المرقعة والدلع المِرِقْ.
أو مثلا: هي المبرر للكسل ممزوج بالفشل واﻷحباط مع فقدان القدرة علي فعل الفعل.
