Team in the AFC West of the National Football League. They play in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO. Have not had a playoff victory since Joe Montana was traded from the San Francisco 49ers in 1993, so have nothing to talk about relevant for the past 20+ years. Fans will still bring up Len Dawson and their Super Bowl victory in 1969 cause that's all they got (so long ago, goal posts were in front of end zone). Have never drafted a QB that amounted to anything, always got somebody else's 2nd or 3rd stringer, a QB nobody else wanted. Annoying fans that lose 3 or 4 straight, beat a bottom dweller, and than think they are back on track to a Super Bowl.
Greg: " Man, you know it took arguable the best QB in Joe Montana to get this team a playoff victory?"
Bill: " Yeah, over 20 years ago. That's the Kansas City Chiefs for ya."

Get the Kansas City Chiefs mug.A man in his mid-late 40's who spends most of his spare time at the beach. Often seen wearing an army cap, aviators and short swimming shorts.
Usually in pretty good physical condition, he is fully aware of this and likes to show it off. The Master Chief will do this by spending the majority of the day standing up with his arms folded, casually observing everything that goes on around him as if he's the master of all he surveys.
It is for this reason that some have also come to describe the Master Chief as the Master of the Beach.
The Master Chief may or may not be married. In cases where Master Chief is married, his wife will often sit on the beach for the majority of the day with the couples offspring and not communicate with her husband unless he speaks to her first.
In cases where Master Chief is not married he will move from spot to spot on the beach and quietly observe. It is this behaviour which highlights the difference between the un-married Master Chief and the Archetypal Old Mate, as the Old Mate will move from spot to spot on the beach and actively seek to engage others in (often unwanted) communication.
The first Master Chiefs were originally found in France in the latter part of the 20th Century but since then have spread to every continent in the world.

Master Chief casually observed the antics of the other sun lovers on the beach in a calm and calculcated manner

<note that the use of this word is never without the 's' hence the original "chiefs" philosophy that there is not ever one chief, but a village of "chiefs">
1. Long standing friends or associates ("Peter you don't know John? oh John is chiefs!")
2. Used to rate marijuana (ie: "that dirt-weed is not so chiefs, but that other stuff is chiefs!"
2. Good things, thoughts or ideas that please you (i.e.: "that new song is chiefs") also can be used as an exclamation (i.e.: "Chiefs! That's a great idea!")
3. as a greeting or goodbye ("okay, see you later, chiefs!" or "Chiefs! nice to see you!")
4. Origin of the slang-usage of the word "chiefs" began in Amsterdam and then spread to Ibiza among American, English & other European expatriates, defining a person who's been living in town for longer than 4 years. Since the original conception of the slang-term, new derivative meanings have been created and used to the point where one could use the word just like "The Smurfs" did. (i.e.: 'Smurf-tacular' could be 'super-chiefs')

use 'chiefs' in any situation you would use: good, tastey, hot, cool, great, ect...
"Oh man, that taste chiefs!" "Did you go to that party last night? I heard it was chiefs"
use 'de-chiefed' in any opposites of the above mentioned meanings.
If your friend makes a nice gesture or a 'cool move' you can simply reply "Chiefs(!)"
Antonym:
Dechiefed - When a person or situation has become demoted. Can also be used as an exclamatory (Our plane has been delayed by 12 hours. Dechiefed!)
