Dead week

A term used to describe the time between the last finals of Yale and the official Commencement activities. As tradition in recent generations, graduating seniors travel durring this time (especially to Myrtle Beach, SC). Other underclassmen participating or working for graduation all move to Old Campus housing. There are no planed events and thus they must just wait for Dead Week to end and graduation to start (the YPMB is famous for having a film festival with each class making a film durring Dead Week--including a Junior feature length film--that is screened at the end of Dead Week).

Yalie K: "I am so excited to just party and do nothing durring Dead Week."

Yalie T: "I am too but know that I will be freaking out about finishing papers that I could not get done."

Yalie K: "You are stupid! Dead Week is when you are done with school and can just day drink at Yale."

Irish week

The length of time it takes for a person or group of people to drink a bottle of whisky.

Les: Dude, how long will it take for you to get over this breakup?

Wes: An Irish week.

Les: How long's that?

Wes: Probably later tonight.

a week of sobriety. usually advertised via memo that only badasses receive.

getting a few or no shifts at work which automatically leads to being broke ass or bored to hell

Four Week Plan

A plan used when first starting to date another person. It entails reaching first base in the first week, second base in the second, third base in the third week, and finally getting it in after four weeks.

Steven: Hey Gerald! Have you gotten it in yet with your new girlfriend?

Gerald: Not yet man, I got to second base last night... But don't worry I got her on the four week plan.

Steven: Nice, Gerald!!!

Turkey Week

n. The week after Thanksgiving, going until all leftover turkey has been devoured. During turkey week turkey eaters dig into turkey sandwiches, wraps, casseroles, soups, and any other turkey related meals. Turkey week is one of the best weeks of the year.

Tom: I can't wait to eat this turkey sandwich!

Bob: Yeah, ya' gotta love turkey week.

Junior Week

At the University of Wisconsin, all of the juniors go abroad second semester. Therefore, the week before juniors go abroad they bang out all potential or last calls before its too late and they have graduated. Junior girls especially celebrate this holiday by slutting it up exponentially because it is their last opportunity to to be the younger girls.

During junior week, a junior girl would go out by herself when she has a final the next day just because its her last opportunity to hook up with a senior boy.
