Play it by Earl's

A phrase, used when drunk or when discussing a time period when you expect to be drunk, meaning essentially the same thing as the high-brow phrase "play it by ear."

Play it by Earl's was coined in honor of Earl's on the Ave, a well-known bar in Seattle where you go when you want drinks that will knock you on your ass.

"What are your plans for Friday?"

"I dunno, I'm just going to have a few drinks and play it by Earl's"

The female version of Earl. A strong-willed monitor, she brings out the best in people, and has a certain love for chocolate. Usually, an older person's name. She loves to travel and loves kids and dogs. She often shows the tough love and will always tell you when your doing something wrong.

Earl Weaver

Former manager for the Baltimore Orioles major-league baseball team. Managed the Orioles from 1968 to 1982, and again from 1985-1986. Won the 1970 World Series, had his number (#4) retired in 1982, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996. One of baseball's old-school managers.
