For transgender individuals, this is usually called HRT, or Hormone Replacement Therapy (see example 1). Gender-affirming care is not exclusive to transgender individuals; it also encapsulates cisgender men and women who may have an imbalance of their body's hormones — testosterone and estrogen, respectively (see example 2).
