PYSP

PYSP is an abbreviation for the term "Patch Your $hit People" which refers to the act of IT teams patching vulnerabilities in software. This term grew out of responses to software patches that typically drop on what is known as a "Patch Tuesday" when new patches are released and IT teams are supposed to start patching to address known issues. When these teams fall behind or get hit by a cyber attack for which a patch already exists then the phrase PYSP or "Patch Your $hit People" is often uttered among IT and Security experts in the industry. First known use of this term was by Tanium, a converged endpoint management platform that provides software patching capabilities.
