adj: denoting a failure of magnificent or epic proportions. Refers the the loss of a 6.5 game lead in the standings the 2007 New York Mets had over the Philadelphia Phillies with 12 games remaining in the baseball season.

The success of the Braves and Red Sox in September of 2011 can only be described as Metsian.

Metsox fan

Someone who enjoys both the Mets and the Red Sox...seemingly due to both teams ineptitude in winning a World Series(note that this has changed since the Sox won their World Series) as well as their mutual hatred of the Yankees.
