Ferris State University

Stop calling us a party school it's dead on the weekends unless you're in a frat (and even then only PIKE is the only one where people get wonky sloshed). At least we're not Central. We're good at any sport that has a stick in it (hockey/golf) and also football. It snows a lot but at least you know when it's coming. Great professors who know how to teach and know how to prepare you for tests. Overall it's a good university for what you're paying and it's pretty easy to get in (not as easy as GVSU, Oakland, or SVSU but north of 80 percent nonetheless). People who go to school here care a whole lot more about it than at a metropolitan area university in this state.

Person 1: Ferris State University is the worst school in Michigan!
Person 2: You just say that cuz you go to Central and you want to feel less stupid than me. GO DAWGS!

Solo-femistic

The gross public discrimination of solo female diners at a restaurant. May be displayed in various ways such as seating the solo diner in an inferior location... Such as near the kitchen entry, on a bar stool at the bar for dinner, out the back in staff break-out area.
