Ethyn

Literally a woman, and she knows it. It’s ok we all accept her and want the best for her but she cannot keep wearing skirts and dresses and being called a girl without complaint, and not be a woman.

Ethylene Glycol

Ethylene glycols scientific (IUPAC) name is "ethane-1,2-diol".

It is an excellent choice for use in things such as car antifreeze, due to its great heat transfer properties and its terrific antifreeze up and antiboil over chemistry when combined with water.

It has a sweet taste and a pleasant flavour profile which is why bittering agents are added to antifreeze/coolant formulations, to prevent accidental ingestion.

Despite its sweet taste, ethylene glycol is a very poisonous substance, due to its metabolic breakdown in the body;

Ethylene glycol itself is relatively non-toxic, but when it's ingested by humans or animals, the liver will try to metabolise the antifreeze the same way as metabolises regular food-grade alcohol, but it will accidentally convert the glycol into poisonous and harmful organic acids, which can poison the body and be lethal.
Example 1: This high-performance coolant contains ethylene glycol, which provides great antifreeze and antiboil protection in the engine. Bittering agents have also been added to the formula for safety of your children and pets.

Ethylene

Ethylene is a plant hormone that helps ripen fruits, but if there is too much of it present in the air, it can cause fruit to go off.

It is non-toxic in normal environments and has a sweet odour.

Its modern name is "ethene" (not "ethane").

It is also used in the synthesis of antifreeze.
Professionals convert the ethylene into ethylene oxide, then they further convert the ethylene oxide into ethylene glycol.
Guy 1: Why do my bananas ripen much faster when they are together in a bunch, but not as quick when they're separate?
Guy 2: Oh that's due to natural ethylene gas production. Ethylene is a non-toxic plant hormone that helps bananas to ripen, and it has a sweet smell.
Guy 1: Oh wow.
