Planet Earth is a BBC nature documentary series narrated by David Attenborough, first transmitted in the UK from 5 March 2006.It was co-produced with Discovery Channel and NHK in association with the CBC, and is described by its makers as "the definitive look at the diversity of our planet". It is also the first of its kind to be filmed entirely in high-definition format. The advert theme is by sigur ros and is called hoppipolla.
