An alternate spelling of all right.

Although sometimes considered improper English, it is a completely logical contraction. The words altogether and already are similar contractions that are widely accepted.

Alright isn't a word for retards. It'll be a real English word in dictionaries a few years down the road.

People that criticize the use of the word "alright" are probably guilty of scores of grammatical errors anyway, like everyone who speaks the English language.

"I'm Alright" is usually what a girls says when she isn't alright. Usually when a girl says this then she is super mad at you or someone. SO GUYS BE AWARE OF THE "I'M ALRIGHT" GIRL.

Guy: Are you alright babe?
Her: I'm alright
Guy: Okay babe
*30 seconds later*
Her: SO YOU JUST GONNA ACT LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. OKAY WHATEVER!!!! WE'RE DONE!!!!

Alrighty Then

A phrase used to move past an awkward situation, it can also be used as a bridge between two topics. Another use is to fill a silence as an introduction for somebody to say something else.

Person: "So I'm on my period..."
...............................................
Other Person: "Alrighty then...."

Person: "And that is why I like cheese."
Other Person: "Alrighty then, who's up for pizza?"

Person: "So I got fired, then I hit my boss."
..........................................................................
Other Person: "Alrighty then..."
Other Other Person: "Cheese is cool."

Arichat

One of the oldest communities in Nova-Scotia, dating back wayyy into the 1700s. At that time, this town was quite famous. Now a days, no one knows we even exist. St. FX University started in Arichat, but was later moved to Anitgonish, where it remains today. Arichat has a very small population, where 75% of people are over the age of 50, 5% between 0-5, 5%-6-12, 10% between 13-19 and 5% between 20-49. Arichat is about 30 min. drive from the nearest mall, 2.5 hour drive from the nearest movie theater, and 4 hours from nearest international airport. Yes... were way out there in the middle of no where's... but hey, we do hae water, and a fish plant.. and the bumpiest, pot holed roads on earth.

Dude 2 : "Where the hell is that!?"
