Guru Gossip (sometimes Gossiper) is a messy, poorly run message board masquerading as an honest space where members can vent freely about internet and beauty culture, mainly Youtube MUAs comme Jeffree Star, Michelle Phan, or Jaclyn Hill.
There are endless threads devoted to a variety of gurus and Internet personalities where you slowly realize that it is nothing more than a circlejerk for lonely women to engage in petty, childish, high school-like behavior. Members are subtly encouraged to degrade their targets for their appearance, to invade their privacy by looking up addresses and contacts, and are constantly looking for ways to report them to law enforcement for things like buying purebred pug puppies or having too many kids.
All the while the gossipers will compare themselves to prove just how successful, prettier, and much nicer they are than them, which leaves you wondering how someone can be so rich and happy, when they’re spending hours a day ranting about assymetrical noses and sponsored trips.

Abigail: I found a thread on Danielle Mansutti on Guru Gossiper!
Tanya: You’re kidding, what does it say? Is it anything good?
Abigail: No, it’s horrible. They spent five pages fighting with each other because one person had the audacity to admit she thinks she’s naturally very pretty!

Get the Guru Gossip mug.The Gossip Girl Books are written by Cecily von Ziegesar. They are books describing the lives of different poeple on the Upper East Side in New York City. It discusses parties, the presence of drugs and alcohol, family life, events, such as fashion shows and charity get togethers, vacations, schooling, and of course designer clothes. Two people the books follows are Blaire and Serena who lead the most fabulous lives including vacations in St. Barths, beautiful luxurious penthouses, and private schools for the uber rich. These girls are socialites and truly live the socialite life with their pictures in big papers and glossy magazines. These books are addictive and unforgettable. You will not be able to put them down unless you are jealous of the rich and famous, which most people are I suppose.
Girl 1: I read the entire Gossip Girl series in one day. They are impossible to put down!
Girl 2: Those books disgust me. I bought the first one and threw it away.
Girl 1: Well I am gorgeous and rich so I can read the books without getting jealous.
Girl 2: Hmf!

Get the gossip mug. When a woman becomes a widow NOT BECAUSE HER HUSBAND DIED but due to other circumstances. Those reasons may also include a husband (and father, if kids were involved) that leaves home abandoning his wife (and child/ren) never to return. The term "grass widow" was introduced in the 1920s/30s.
For years, Katie Moreland didn't tell her only son Meredith, that his father didn't in fact die. Lane Moreland didn't want to bear the responsibility of raising a family so young, so he packed up his stuff and left, leaving Katie a grass widow.
