Heck init

An idiomatic expression used by the people of Six Nations Territory as well as other Iroquois/Haudenosaunee Territories. There is no mainstream English comparison. This term is used as a response to many things, such as a semi-funny joke, somebody doing or saying something stupid, seeing something funny happen (ie. someone falling). This is a very common expression in Six Nations Territory, one cannot go a day without hearing the expression used while visiting the territory.

-Hey I seen your mom at Tim Horton's eatin all the donuts!
-Heck init!!

(Somebody falls)
-Hahaha, heck init!! Who taught you how to walk?? haha.

Red invitation

An invitation to any event that is made by a distant associate circumventing a closer associate who may be uncomfortable with the invitation.

When older brother invites younger brother's girlfriend to family Christmas via Facebook, without younger brother's approval or knowledge, she has recieved a "red invitation".

(Phrase) Chiefly North Yorkshire. Standard rendering "It's alright here isn't it?" Northern prununciation " its alreet eer init"
Useful phrase to describe a place uncovered by serendipity to a place off the beaten trail.

"hey it's alrite 'ere innit? I heard it al' Oxford toffs in Settle, but them birds ar' alrite"

spite invite

To invite someone to an event with the main purpose of getting back at someone else who you are feeling spiteful towards, rather than because you actually want them there.

Example A:
Kevin: Do you want to be my date for Kitty's wedding?
Scotty: Oh, how appealing, a spite invite?

-- Brothers & Sisters, after Kevin finds out his boyfriend hasn't called him or left him any messages.

Example B: Your sibling pisses you off, so you go and invite their biggest enemy to your family party just to annoy your sibling. That would be a spite invite.
