A phrase used to feign modesty by people with inflated egos and an even more inflated sense of self worth. They often believe, falsely, that using this phrase will make them appear intelligent and benevolent. More often, it makes them appear like a douche.

Keep Busy Stay Humble

A phrase coined by a famous philosopher from the PA area. Keeping busy is part one requiring that you stay busy but not too busy as you can never be more busy than humble. Part two requires you stay the exact amount humble as you are busy.

Henry: Ben handjob really keeps himself busy by beating off on the neighbors patio furniture?

Vince: Man I warned him, he needs to keep busy stay humble.

Humbert

The narrator of Vladimir Nabokov's 'Lolita'. Humbert (who is about 36) falls in love with Lolita (who is around 12 when he first meets her), and the two have a bizarre sexual relationship, even though he is her stepfather. Humbert is a complex character, and despite the fact he ruined Lolita's childhood, readers often end up pitying him at the end of the book, when he declares his love for Lolita and tries to fix what he has done by trying to protect Lolita.

Teacher : It's not wrong to feel sorry for Humbert when you finish the book.
