n. a person, usually Irish, who cannot be categorised, with a certain level of eccentricity and mishcheiviousness. Often identifiable by a willingness to try anything 'for the craic'. One can only know if one is a halian by searching inside oneself to find the 'inner halian', which is said to be different for each person.

A Halena is a vary sexy woman but is also know as a Hallie by partners, family, and friends.
