Fringe Friends

1. A person you kindof know and who kindof knows you too. Possibly met at a class or in a group gathering. Someone you would be willing to wave and smile at but not someone you would stop and talk to.
2. A person you do not know very well but it is awkward to not aknowledge them when you see them.

You see *Katie* in the halls. You wave, she waves back. You keep walking and so does she.
*You two are fringe friends, you notice and pay attention but nothing more than that.

A Fringe Festival is an event showcasing a selection of shows from small companies.
Shows can range from stand up comics, improv, comedies, farces, poetry, storytelling, or just about anything else that you can perform, givin a venue.
Shows put on tend to be cutting edge, contraversial, eclectic, low budget, and easily accesible by the public.

Frinky

Descriptive of a somewhat scary chick, similar to the one who does the Progressive commercials. Kind-of cute; kind-of nuts; kind-of hot; kind-of totally mental. Probably goes like a train, but one that will run you over.

Derivation obscure - possibly a concatenation of "Frightening" and "Kinky"(?)

Guy 1:"Would you do that chick from the Progressive commercial?"

Guy2: "Mmmmm. Possibly. She's kinda frinky, though..."

Goofy short bit of hair that comes down to your eyebrows. Also known as "bangs". The beatles started it apparently. One of them had a German girlfriend, and she cut their hair with a pudding bowl and the rest is history.
