The act of tapping one's foot on the floor, while seated in a public bathroom stall, to alert anyone trying to enter the stall (see turd burglar) that it is occupied. Named for actor/tapdancer Fred Astaire.

I was on the john takin' a dump and had to perform an Astaire cuz somebody kept trying to open the stall door.

Astana

The Capital of Kazakhstan since 1997 (till that year the capital was in Alma-Ata city). Former names - Akmolinsk, Tselinograd, Akmola. The city is located in the central part of Kazahstan on the Ishim river. A population about 600 thousand (and constantly increases).
