a root is someone who is an arsehole (see Radge) mostly used in Edinburgh you can either say Root or Rooty you can use it to describe a couple of people as rooty "They radges are rooty as fuck" or if you don't want to do something stupid you call it Rooty

Root account

The account in Unix and Unix-like operating systems that has access to most of the system (or not all). With this account, you can do many things that normal users without sudo "super user do" access cannot do, such as editing configuration files, software management, user management, and more. It is usually created by the system after the OS installation is finished, however the password may be set during the installation or after the installation.

If you know the password for the root account, do not play with the system unless you know what you're doing.

Simple tool, all there is to a person, the root of a simple problem basically insinuation of dumb or a basic person basic b**** or or less than.

She sent him the square root symbol basically meaning he was simple or basic or shallow. He was a ham head she said... Half of the man he could be... Or easily cuz he's closed-minded red because he's closed-minded like a basic math problem LOL she laughed... Square root is a basic symbol for a algebraic equation!
